Spruce Lane was created by Laura Hoopes in 2017 when she moved from New York City to Philadelphia. It began as a blog where Laura would profile local boutique owners through photographing their shops and writing about their small businesses.

With a natural eye for design and an innate care for her community, Laura’s passion has always been steeped in style intertwined with meaningful work. Laura has relocated to the Jersey Shore as a full time resident and is thrilled to transform her blog into a retail business, Spruce Lane Shoppe. The Shoppe aims to offer coastal merchandise crafted in collaboration with local artists and creators.

Finally, you might be wondering, why “spruce lane”? The answer is rather simple. “spruce” is related to one of the many tree-themed streets of Philadelphia, and “lane” sounds a little more elevated. There you have it!
